1. How do I copy just a file name from the list?

Right click on the file name in the list and select "Copy Name Only". You may also copy the whole path by selecting "Copy Path and Name".

You cannot do this in V1.1.11. Version 1.1.12 will have this feature and is in beta release now. You can download the beta using the link below. Re-ordering is accomplished by simply selecting the column header in the pane and dragging it to the position required.

Notes:
If help text is selected in the Help document before opening the Find dialog with Ctrl-F, the Textbox will contain the selected text, otherwise it will contain the last string entered.
"Match Case" and "Whole Word" option settings are remembered between uses.
OLE Drag and Drop is also possible from anywhere into the textbox.
It has both Find and Find Next options.

Go to the view menu, select "Sort Order" then "Sort Folders First". The short cut is Ctrl-F4.

In both the File Filter and the Search dialog, you can enter single or multiple filter/search criteria, then save it/them by pressing Ctrl-Enter, for example:

*.htm? ---> Ctrl-Enter
or
*.htm;*.html ---> Ctrl-Enter

After pressing Ctrl-Enter you will here a sound to confirm that the string is saved. It will be there next time you start XplorPlus. It is actually mentioned in the Help for the File Filter. If you open the Help window, then click on the File Filter dropdown, the Help will reposition itself to explain how to use it.
